You Belong To Me

Chickpea Love Expression!
My chickpea love grows stronger every day. Roasted with just turmeric, cumin, cayenne, salt and pepper flakes is an explosion of earthy goodness in your mouth.   What can't you do with chickpeas should be the question.  Smashed and made into burger patties, coupled with brothy greens for a soup, roasted until crispy as a snack or added to a salad for crunch. Then there is hummus, of course.  You can do silly things like make pizza crust out of them.  That is, you can, not me.   I recently used them to make a white chili with ground turkey that was such a culinary surprise.  At first I had to question if this was legal, but it is a legume after all, therefore could take the place of any bean.
