sister's garden bounty out in Colorado
this is a blog about the food in my life. what I eat, what I wanna eat, what I make, what I bake, what I wanna make and bake, ideas and recipes. it's also my thoughts on food or stories behind the meals. The lyric references are from my lifelong love of classic rock and funk and from working a hunnerd years in music retail.

It's Up To You, It Surely Can Be Done
I save my meal pictures and don't always write about them until months later. I also try to save a small memory of the day in notes to bring me back when I do get the chance to post a story. I called this one pre-trip freak out. I was to go to Arizona to see my father turn 95, leaving early the next day. I thought we'd all be there or some of us kids but as it turned out I would be the only one visiting. This was very nerve-racking to me. I was not prepared for that responsibility but was trying to psyche myself up for the challenge. The meal the night before had to be total comfort feels. Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup with a cold cut sandwich complete with lettuce, mustard and tomatoes. Cut in half with chips on the plate. This was serious.

Just nod if you can hear me. Is there anyone at home?
