Old Fashioned Beef Stew

Sometimes you just have to go classic.  Like this old fashioned beef stew with chunky potatoes, carrots, peas and corn.  A nice beefy gravy.  I rarely do classic cooking, however I do appreciate and respect all of these solid recipes that you really can't screw up.

Speaking of screw ups.  So awhile back I bought this shoe cabinet.  For a small apartment you have to be creative with a mud room type of situation because indeed there is no separate 'room' per say.  Only a tiny space still in the living room.  We both bike so I made an area for shoes and all the gear.  You get the picture.  But men are most bizarre creatures.  Have you ever really tried to get in their minds? P can't seem to find anything if I put it inside the cabinet. As if it's lost.  Instead, he chooses to pile everything on top and underneath.  That way he knows where it's at, he says.  But.
