Where Was Ya At?

Chickpea Chicken Sausage Lettuce Wraps
Watermelon Feta Salad

Do you ever think about how you have handled your affairs in the past?  Like by now a bunch of things have happened to each of us and through them, you can judge your performance.  Someone comes to you for advise.  A falling out with friends.  A relative asks for help.  A coworker acts improperly.  How do we act?  What do we do?  Was it the right thing?  Have you ever thought through these situations, like as a list?  If you've been in a 12 step program perhaps you can relate.  But for me, years ago doing that it was more efficient to cover the giant ones and then maybe circle back for more, later. Much later.   Maybe this was the start of the later for me because on a rare walk into work due to rain, busted gear shift on my bike and my impatience for waiting for a bus, I did this for about 20 minutes.  Let me tell you the initial results are less than impressive.
On the day to day I wouldn't guess I screw up too much.  I would even imagine my score might be quite high.  But if you consider life as a set of short stories, chapter them off into individual slices, where there is a beginning, a plot, characters and an ending, you tend to see results on a graph type scale.  You see tendencies and trends.  I would say I'm guilty of the things I always felt were traits of my husband and men in general.  I call it sort of half-assing it, phoning life in.  Being lazy when I could have gone a little further but I stop short of just enough.   The distance between a nice enough person and an asshole is really not that far.  I could do better, I'm saying.
what the hell is this car motorcycle hybrid craziness?
I only notice I do well well at dinner in photo retrospect.  This was a good super simple idea.  Chicken sausage & chickpeas, curry seaonsing - done. Wrapped up in thick lettuce and paired with a fun refreshing watermelon and feta salad.

Just nod if you can hear me. Is there anyone at home?
