I Am So Into You, I Can't Think of Nothing Else

Sweet Potato Chili and Chicken Salad
I am not a girl who puts ketchup in her chili.  I am not a fan of adding sugar to anything.  But sweet potatoes give chili this slight hint of lusciousness that tastes very natural and almost mole like. It thickens the broth and I fell in love with the earthiness. Red bell peppers, black beans, onions, garlic, cumin, chili powder.  More like chili's cousin Chilla.  Depth was added by baking the potatoes first and then mashing with a tab of butter, salt and pepper.  You don't need to blend it just kind of dissolves into the broth.
A massaged kale salad partner with chicken, pomegranate seeds and then to be cute, I added chunks of sweet potato and toasted pumpkin seeds.  All I really wanted to do was rip open this gift basket and eat all the crap though.
