Maya Taqueria has a sweet enclosed outdoor curbside area to grab a quick bite and enjoy being inches from speeding cars and an even cuter spot in the back where I'm sure its much more relaxing, tucked away from all the new hatchet murderers roaming the streets.
We went for the tacos but the unassuming chicken verde tamal was the real prize here. Its not easy to get perfectly moist steamed masa that is well seasoned but just enough that you still taste the spicy meat prize inside. This chicken was stewed in tangy tomatillo salsa that burst in your mouth. This needs to happen again.
