Rejoice, Rejoice, We Have No Choice But to Carry On

During my time off P turned me on to a series called Alone.  My sister had told me about how much she enjoyed it awhile ago, but after I heard the word survivalist I'd felt it wasn't for me.  My sister is awesome and has always been a cool nature girl.  I'd be the guy that went home the first night after hearing a noise in the woods.  Also, living in a big city I try to keep my mind from wandering to the time when I might need to fight to survive, get edible food and drinking water.  If we have a disaster and are unable to leave this gigantic island, then the type of survival skills needed sends my stress levels into overdrive.

In the end, it was just the right time to binge-watch this series and if nothing else, it made me so grateful for food we have available to us each and every day, as well as all the conveniences from running hot and cold water, to our corner markets and warm beds.  Before we watched I said we had no food to eat in the refrigerator but afterwards I realized I could make this egg and bacon topped avocado toast with Chicken Chorizo.  In fact, there was a bounty of fresh food, I just needed a new perspective.   That show helped begin my slow climb back to health.

Just nod if you can hear me. Is there anyone at home?
