this is a blog about the food in my life. what I eat, what I wanna eat, what I make, what I bake, what I wanna make and bake, ideas and recipes. it's also my thoughts on food or stories behind the meals. The lyric references are from my lifelong love of classic rock and funk and from working a hunnerd years in music retail.

Time Keeps on Slippin, Slippin, Slippin
I came home from work with absolutely no time to dilly or dally and made this great side dish in the wok using two slices of turkey bacon, cut up tiny and crisped up, then added about 3 cups of sliced savoy cabbage on medium high heat. Sauteed it for about 4-6 minutes adding garlic, lots of salt and pepper until it started to caramelize before adding a bit of chicken stock and let it steam for about 5 more minutes. Still had it's crisp freshness but soft enough to absorb the seasonings. So good, easy and super cheap!

Just nod if you can hear me. Is there anyone at home?
