I've Been in the Right Place, But it Musta Been the Wrong Time

Bean with Bacon is one of my favorite Campbell's soups of all time.  I've attempted to recreate it myself from scratch before but this time I did it without trying.
Actually, what I was trying to make was Great Northern Beans, white and creamy with the salty smoky ham flavor throughout.

I used Liquid Smoke & Smoked turkey necks.  The turkey necks were to be discarded and used only for flavor because I didn't want to add to the fat.  Carrots, celery, onion and garlic and fresh thyme.  At the end, I added fire-roasted tomatoes and a bit of smoked Paprika that gave it this great coloring.

To serve I chopped up some Canadian Bacon and just sprinkled on top as a garnish along with a sprig of thyme.

Just nod if you can hear me. Is there anyone at home?
