Life is good when you get to eat burgers for dinner. Life is good when you have a tub of fresh salsa. Life is good when Concord grapes come in season and you still have sweet watermelon available. Life is good when the avocados have that summery green delicious buttery taste. Life is good when a cool pickle on the plate is still refreshing.
Cold weather will be here soon enough and all of these cool summerlike foods will fade away to be replaced with root vegetables and roasted meats.
I love all foods but as I look upon this plate I realize another summer has passed. Time has expired on contributing memories to this season.
