She's Crafty

We have these little bags of Trader Joe's nut mix with cashews and dried cranberries, roasted almonds around the house as snacks. P has been and will always be the popcorn king but I also throw in my little fairy dust in at the end too, which is the flavor. He was doing his M&M candy coated corn and I threw in two bags of the nut mix and a little cumin and cayenne, salt. Queue music. It's tasty, mighty tasty.
And because we both have the sense of humor of 11 year old catholic boys, I'm most proud that I named it P's Nut Sack Corn.

Went to Sleep With You On My Mind

I went to sleep thinking about what to make for breakfast. I wanted chilaquiles but I also wanted pure creamy fluffy scrambled eggs. I had some leftover roasted tomato salsa and sweet onions so I added those to my sauced up corn tortilla slices and put in a hot wok to crisp.

I slow cooked the scrambled eggs with fresh cilantro and cotija cheese.

I served the eggs on top of the chilaquiles so that I could mix together the two flavors with each bite. One bright and clean, soft. And the other peppery, crisp around the edges and packed with spicy punch. Crunchy turkey bacon side.

Don't You Know That I'm Still In Love

What could be better than the cold ham and cheese on Peasant bread? Hot baked ham and aged swiss melted with red onions on toasted Peasant bread. With a side of peas.

It's near the end of this ham and I'm still loving every bite of it.
