Blackbird, Fly

We don't buy sweets, but on occasion, the universe still manages to provide me with the most delectable treats.  Actually, when I say universe, I mean my neighbors.  We sometimes water their plants, and mind their mail.  They often leave for long periods of time and in exchange for these small favors, they give pies and cookies and maple syrup.  Gifts I cherish. 

This particular pie is from Four and Twenty Blackbirds, a local bakery known for their amazing offerings.  Heated up with a little butter, I was in cinnamon apple, heaven!!!
