I don't remember the first time I discovered pasta puttanesca, whether it was way back in Fort Wayne or San Francisco. But what a great day it was. All my favorite salty things in one PLUS thin spaghetti! Right up my alley.
It's such a perfect sauce. But since I'm always wondering what would be 'even better', today I added ground turkey because I was heavily craving the protein dontchaknow. And it was right ladies, so right. You know when it comes around that time of month and you feel yourself becoming very animal and find yourself howling at the moon and thinking of your meals as 'kill'? That's the time I'm speaking of here. Even better. Don't forget to add lots of dried red pepper flakes to tame the wild beast.
