There's Got to Be a Morning After

Linguini Reward Dinner
My brother-in-law stayed with us for couple of weeks and it was an awesome, whirlwind of a visit.  However, my male cat chose that week to start spraying and I worked most of the time but tried to get in some homemade meals along the way.  We visited Ground Zero and took walks, and went to a movie in downtown Manhattan at Alamo Drafthouse where someone created a retro, ridiculous mini Kim's Video.  There is even a bar that feels as if you're somewhere in the village, yet it's tucked inside the depths of this giant high rise building.  All is strange in that area of town, so it made sense to go there to see, Heavier Trip, a ridiculously rewarding movie.  You descend into the ghostly white interior of this new building passing levels filled with giant artist spaces in vacant storefronts on full view.  It's eerily dreamlike as you make eye contact with these artists who seem more experimental monkey, than creators behind the thick paneled glass.

I made a few pots of soup and stews but somehow only documented this cornbread.
Guests bring on meals you never buy for yourself and this was one of them. Giant submarines, chips and soda.  Excellent choices from La Bagel Delight, a true treat!

Dinner with friends
Our apartment turned into an artist space too with guitars, singing, writing and creating.

Introverts will understand that although the experience was rich and rewarding, after our guest left, I needed a pasta remedy that hugged my innards and made me safe and warm. This fully dressed linguine in spicy sauce did the trick.

along with a thorough cleaning of the apartment
Even Lefty seemed to settle down

Just nod if you can hear me. Is there anyone at home?
