Cucumber Sushi
End of summer, farewell to cool sides, like this shaved cucumber wrapped guacamole. So as not to waste food, I cut the remainder of the cucumbers into squares, added onion and apple cider vinegar, olive oil,a pinch of sugar, lots of pepper and salt to make yet another side salad to serve with this spicy roasted chicken. this is a blog about the food in my life. what I eat, what I wanna eat, what I make, what I bake, what I wanna make and bake, ideas and recipes. it's also my thoughts on food or stories behind the meals. The lyric references are from my lifelong love of classic rock and funk and from working a hunnerd years in music retail.

I'd Like to Teach the World to Green
Roasted tomatillo sauce is really great on steaks. And now I discover that raw tomatillo sauce is spectacular on pork chops!
Something about the tart tangy fresh taste. Even the colors burst on the plate.
Green food may be my favorite. Its like a little fluffer for my appetite!
Everyone should make a batch today! The world would be a better place. Super easy. Recipe from the Mexican Cooking for Dummies cookbook:
3/4 lb tomatillos
3 serrano chiles
1/3 cup cold water
1 bunch of scallions
1 large bunch of cilantro
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
Blend
