Black Bean Chili with added franks

Now to wean ourselves slowly off of bread, I made franks to put in my Black Bean chili instead of the full on Chili Dogs we were craving.  The chips helped.  I mean the black beans are so heart healthy but no one needs to eat two hot dogs right now even if they are made with organic, grass-fed, nitrate free and humanely raised beef.

Who puts pickles on chili?

A beautiful woman-roommate-friend taught me in San Francisco that pickles on chili was the cat's meow and I've always done it since!
