idea #2 - party sticks, as a take off on bagels and cream cheese but a wee less calories, whip up softened flavored cream cheese and chop up condiments you would normally add to a bagel, like onions, tomatoes, maybe bacon bits and you dip the sticks in cc then dip that in the condiments to get a festive looking stick! put in party cups around the room for folks to take and also have a set up on a table....
idea #3 - cream cheese tostadas - layer of flavored cream cheese on a crunchy corn tortilla topped with black beans, lettuce, tomato and onion.
idea #4 - cream cheese/green olive tapenade in some sort of cups....(idea in motion))....or crustini perhaps.

Cream Cheesy
Paula Deen is a running a food contest with Kraft for recipes using cream cheese and even though there is no way on God's green earth that I'll get my shit together in time to enter, I will carry on with the charade that I actually can accomplish something in this lifetime. So I need a few good ideas.
A couple come to mind....
- Mushroom Pizza with cream cheese basil spread onto thin crust with mushroom and sausage topping lightly dusted with parmessan and parsley. A homage to stuffed mushrooms. A 'flavored' cream cheese 'sauce' if you will would have to highlight the main ingredient - should I whip it light green with the fresh basil????
- Sweet sausage and black olive cream cheese turnover appetizer type things??? with sun dried tomatoes???
- maybe a pumpkin cream cheese cupcake, with cream cheese frosting of course...sprinkled with cinnamon?
